It’s always hard think of those really cool gift/ reward /bribe ideas when asked on the spot. So here is a running list of things I’ve come across and gone “ooooh, I’d like that”:

Well, school goes back next week. Marion is already back doing more prep for the start of the new term. H & E and decided to pop into town to drop of some library books.
Got a little waylaid along the way by some bushes and than an Ishkender at Aberakebabra

We are set!
Having a week off before Christmas this year has been fantastic. Everyone is rested after school and work, the house is clean and tidy (very clean and tidy, now that I mention it). The food is all prepared so that tomorrow will see as little time in the kitchen as possible. Christmas specials from TV are lined up. The fridge is full.
And Marion and I get to have our annual bottle of champagne – in this case left over from last year!

It’s hard to be cross within anyone in the run up to Christmas, but even harder when you find notes like this from Emily (6) on the cupboard door

arrrrgggghhh
We should have guessed. A valiant effort by Scotland, but alas not enough, as Argentina hung on to pop a try over the line with less than 10 minutes to go.
Many thanks to Anthony and Niki for the tickets.

It’s fair to say that the old clark-family.net, in all its hand-coded loveliness, has had it’s day. It hasn’t been updated by me since around 2009 as work got busy and we made increasing use of Picasa and other web tools.
The old site is still available in the archive.
I did deliberate on whether to try to port across the content, but I haven’t for two reasons: 1 – time. 2 – I feel it should remain as it was.
So, here were are, using WordPress, hosted out of New Zealand (sorry if that means it’s a bit slower overseas) and available over IPv6.
Let’s see what happens.
